Wellington 2
Our second weekend in New Zealand, and we decided to make the long hike down to Wellington in the south of the North Island!
it took about 6-7hours in all but was well worth the trip - Wellington is such a cool place full of cafes, shops, and a busy harbour.
The drive down was awesome too - passing the rolling hills of the Waikato region (where Hobbiton was set!), the enormous Lake Taupo, the aptly named Desert Road, and the majestic Mount Ruhapehue.
