This weekend gone we went to one the highlights of the hamilton social calender - the great race masked ball. Attended by thousands it was pretty flash. Lots of themed rooms, lots of performers, bands, food, wine. Sarah found a large dead butterfly to wear on her face, and I went for a sort of goldfinger meets KISS effect. Had a great night.
late 80's mercedes
These are some mates of ours (Donald and Brian)who play in this cool funk band - late 80's mercedes. They were one of the bands playing at the ball. They also both play in the church worship bands - but sadly not in the awesome Roger Moore safari suits.
all blacks vs wallabies
So the weekend before last (whilst I was hard at work earning some cash) sarah was hard at work spending it all. Our friend julie-ann managed to pick up tickets on Trade-Me (kiwi version of E-bay). So with a heavy heart I went to work and sarah went to the game.
all blacks 3
And so the all blacks win, the tri-nations falls beneath them. The country now eagerly awaits the world cup - but as I so often tell them, that cup currenty resides in the northern hemisphere.

matt at Raglan
this is our mate matt again! rob, matt and luke went off to the beach at Raglan yesterday. the winter here has been one of the mildest on record and the last week has been a week of sunshine every day with an almost summer feel to it!! awesome!!
rob biking
we had loads of fun last weekend - picnicking with Rob and Kerry at Raglan and Bridal Veil Falls on Saturday then out mountain biking on Sunday in Whakarawarawe forest in Rotorua.
the biking was great fun! we hired some really good bikes with suspension and were given trail maps to find our way around. the trails were done really well - all graded with difficulty levels with loads of humps, bumps, logs, inclines, rocks and generally narrow and uneven tracks! whata laugh!
rob was racing round the trails with no fear ( no big jumps though )but have to admit that i was being a bit of a sheila with the breaks!!
definitely something to go back to do more!
